Submit and maintain a GTFS feed through Google's Transit Partner Program

Steps
Confirm eligibility and enroll the agency's data feed in Google's Transit Partner Program to have GTFS Schedule (and optionally GTFS-Realtime) data ingested into Google Maps
Follow Google's GTFS Schedule reference and differences documentation, since Google's ingestion pipeline may enforce stricter or additional expectations than the base gtfs.org spec
Submit fares data following Google's Transit Partners fares guidance if fare display in Google Maps is desired
Use the Transit Partners help center to report ingestion errors or coordinate scheduled feed updates
Keep the submitted feed's calendar validity dates and feed_info.txt version current so Google doesn't display stale schedule data to riders
Known gotchas
Google publishes its own 'reference and differences' page that can diverge from the community gtfs.org reference in edge cases — validate against both before submitting
Enrollment and update review are managed through Google's partner support process, not a fully self-serve public API — expect a human review/latency step, unlike posting a public GTFS-RT URL
