Steps

  1. Run kamal app containers -q to list all containers per host, including old (exited) ones still retained from previous deploys
  2. Identify the image tag/SHA of the last-known-good container from that output
  3. Run kamal rollback <version> to stop the current (bad) container and start a new one from the old image
  4. No image download is required since the old image is already present on the host
  5. Confirm health via kamal app details after rollback completes
