Documented steps

  1. Add `logging: {driver: journald}` to the service in compose.yaml.
  2. Run `docker compose up -d`; the daemon writes container stdout/stderr into the host systemd journal.
  3. Read with `journalctl CONTAINER_NAME=<container>` or `journalctl CONTAINER_ID_FULL=<full-id>`.
  4. Journald enriches entries with container_id, container_name, image, and tag metadata.
