Obtain a UPS OAuth 2.0 access token
Call the Locator endpoint with the customer's address or geographic coordinates and a search radius
Filter results by program type to isolate UPS Access Point third-party retail locations versus company-operated facilities
Retrieve hours of operation and services offered for each returned location
Present the filtered list to the customer as a delivery or drop-off option at checkout
Pass the selected Access Point's identifier into the Shipping REST API request as the delivery or pickup location
Known gotchas
Not every returned location supports every service (e.g., some accept drop-off only, others also support package pickup for delivery), so the program/service filter must be checked before presenting an option
