2. Do NOT treat 6005 as a systems-design credential — design is covered by the separate Standard #6060 (Medical Gas Systems Designer), which was added to Series 6000 in its 2021 revision, three editions after 6005 already existed
3. Confirm that starting with the 2024 edition of NFPA 99, all Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) must be designed by someone holding the ASSE 6060 credential (or equivalent competency acceptable to the facility's governing body) — NFPA 99-2024 added this mandate to use the credential; it did not create Standard 6060, which predates the 2024 code edition
