Steps

  1. Identify the app developer's website URL as published in the app store listing metadata (the bundle_id/store_id link back to this developer domain)
  2. Publish an /app-ads.txt file (not ads.txt) at that developer website root, using the same authorized-seller record format as the base ads.txt spec
  3. Include the app's storeurl (e.g. the Google Play or iTunes listing URL) so ad networks/SSPs can include it as a bid request parameter for verification
  4. Have buyers/verifiers crawl from the app store listing to the developer domain to the app-ads.txt file to confirm authorized sellers for that bundle_id
  5. Keep the file in sync as seller relationships change, same as with web ads.txt
