Steps In the Hostaway dashboard, create a Public API credential to get an account ID and API key. Exchange them for an OAuth2 access token via the client-credentials grant at the access-token endpoint. Create or update the listing through the listings endpoints, completing all channel-required fields for channels like Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com. Activate the listing for each channel once its completeness checks pass. Subscribe to webhooks for new reservations, reservation updates, and new messages instead of polling.
Known gotchas This is true two-way channel-manager sync of rates, availability, and reservations — distinct from a read-only iCal feed. A listing must pass channel-specific completeness checks before it can go live on that channel. Access tokens are long-lived but still require a renewal process before expiry.
