Steps Use TRI Explorer or the Envirofacts TRI Search to identify the facility, chemical, or NAICS scope needed. Query the relevant tri table via the dmapservice REST API, filtering by reporting year and facility or chemical ID. Pull the waste-management fields covering quantities recycled on-site or off-site, treated, or released. Cross-reference facility identifiers against the FRS API for address and geocoding detail.
Known gotchas TRI covers only chemicals and industry sectors subject to reporting thresholds - it is not a complete picture of all recycling activity at a facility. 'Recycled' in TRI means the reporting facility's chemical waste management method, not municipal curbside recycling - don't conflate the two.
