Steps
Generate an API key from the Configure section of the Whereby Embedded dashboard.
POST to the /meetings endpoint with an Authorization: Bearer <token> header and an endDate (the only required field) to create a room.
Optionally request the fields parameter with hostRoomUrl and/or viewerRoomUrl to get separate host/viewer links for webinars.
Embed the returned room URL in an iframe, or use the Whereby embedded SDK, in your application.
Delete rooms explicitly via the API if you need immediate cleanup, rather than waiting on the automatic deactivation window.
Known gotchas
Rooms aren't deleted immediately at endDate — they're marked for deactivation roughly an hour after endDate and only fully deleted within 24 hours after that, so a room URL isn't necessarily dead the instant endDate passes.
endDate is the only required field, which makes it easy to create rooms with no other configuration and then discover mid-integration that additional fields are needed for features (recording, host/viewer split) you assumed were defaults.
