Steps
Read apidocs.acculynx.com/docs/getting-started and apidocs.acculynx.com/docs/overview to understand the two integration tiers: the low-code Zapier integration for non-developers, and the Advanced API for experienced developers
Generate/obtain an API key per apidocs.acculynx.com/docs/authentication and send it as a Bearer token on requests to the base URL https://api.acculynx.com/api/v2
If you are a software vendor (not an in-house integration for a single AccuLynx account), submit AccuLynx's Partnership Application before building, since third-party integrations require approval
Use the documented endpoints (jobs, contacts, estimates, etc.) referenced in the Advanced API for Developers guide to read/write data, testing calls directly from the docs site's built-in tester
Handle errors and rate limiting per the docs — AccuLynx states it will only provide troubleshooting support via their Contact Us form and does not teach general API/integration concepts
For simple, low-volume automations (e.g., trigger a Slack message on new job), prefer the Zapier path over building custom Advanced API calls
Known gotchas
AccuLynx explicitly does not provide integration coaching — support is limited to troubleshooting confirmed issues submitted through their Contact Us form, so budget for self-directed API learning
Vendor/software-company integrations require a separate Partnership Application approval before going live — this is not a fully open self-serve developer signup like JobNimbus or CompanyCam
Do not confuse this with the GAF QuickMeasure-via-AccuLynx measurement integration (a different, narrower feature) — the Advanced API is the general-purpose data API for AccuLynx accounts
