Steps

  1. Request API partner credentials (client ID/secret) from ezyVet and confirm the target practice's site_uid.
  2. Send a client_credentials grant request to the ezyVet OAuth2 token endpoint to receive a bearer access token.
  3. Include the site_uid value when generating the token, mandatory for all connections since March 2026.
  4. Store the returned bearer token and attach it as an Authorization header on subsequent API calls.
  5. Refresh the token before it expires; access tokens have a 12-hour TTL.
