Steps
Have your web developer or agency submit a request to become an approved Ascend Integrator
Wait for Ascend to approve the request and issue an Integrator Shared Secret to the developer
Obtain the Integrator Shared Secret from your developer
In Ascend HQ, go to Settings, then Integrations, then API Integrators
Enter the Integrator Shared Secret and submit to authorize the connection
Confirm with your developer that store inventory data is broadcasting to the website as expected
Known gotchas
Ascend's published documentation describes the Integrator approval and shared-secret handshake but does not publish a general endpoint/method reference — get detailed request/response formats directly from Ascend once approved
The shared secret is entered by shop staff in Ascend HQ, not by the developer — mixing up who holds which credential stalls setup
This is a broadcast-style integration for storefront inventory data, not a documented general-purpose transactional API for orders or customers
