Get a home valuation and market insights via Plunk API

Steps

1. Sign up for Plunk API access via the developer portal at getplunk.com; Plunk offers a self-service portal for exploring and onboarding to the API.
2. Authenticate using the API key issued during registration; include it in the request header as specified in the Plunk API documentation.
3. Call the Plunk Home Value API endpoint with a property address to retrieve the real-time AVM estimate; the response includes an estimated value for one of the 104+ million tracked properties nationwide.
4. Call the Plunk Market Insights API endpoint for the same address or a geographic area to retrieve key performance metrics (price trends, days on market, supply/demand indicators) at the local and regional level.
5. Combine the AVM response with market insights to compute estimated gross yield (annual rent estimate divided by property value) for investment analysis.
6. Cache responses with a TTL appropriate to your use case; Plunk's AVM is updated in real time but repeated calls for the same address within a short window are redundant and count against your quota.
