Go to the RESNET National Registry at www1.resnet.us/registry (linked from resnet.us) to search for a rater or a rated home.
Search by rater name, RESNET ID, or rating company to confirm the rater is listed and to see their Rating Quality Assurance (QA) Provider.
Check the listed status (active vs. suspended/revoked) before relying on a rating or hiring the rater.
For a specific rated home, use the registry's home search to confirm a HERS Index Score was actually confirmed/registered, not just modeled.
If a name doesn't appear, note that registry entries only cover raters who have issued a confirmed HERS Index Score since 2012 — a newly certified rater may not yet have an entry.
Known gotchas
The registry only reflects certified activity since 2012; pre-2012 ratings and brand-new raters without a confirmed rating won't show up.
"Certified" and "in good standing" are separate fields — a rater can appear while suspended, so check status explicitly, not just presence.
