Steps

  1. Recognize SPP does not expose a public REST/JSON market-data API for the classic Integrated Marketplace; data is published as CSV-in-ZIP files.
  2. Pull files via anonymous FTP at pubftp.spp.org (e.g. Markets/RTBM/LMP_By_SETTLEMENT_LOC, Markets/DA/LMP_By_SETTLEMENT_LOC) or the mirrored web portal at marketplace.spp.org.
  3. For load forecasts, use the Operational_Data/STLF (short-term) and MTLF (mid-term) folders.
  4. Unzip and parse the CSV files yourself; there is no query API, pagination, or auth for anonymous FTP access.
  5. If registered as a market participant needing settlement-grade data exchange, note SPP separately offers a SOAP-based Data API requiring registration.
