Steps Have Stavvy provision a dedicated API user with an explicit API access grant for your customer account — self-service signup isn't available. Authenticate using OAuth against the Stavvy API host to obtain an access token before calling other endpoints. Test your integration against Stavvy's sandbox host before touching the production API, using test data only. Create and update files/orders through the API, then retrieve documents associated with the closing. Query Stavvy's Eligibility Engine via API to check a transaction's RON, IPEN, and eRecording acceptability before scheduling the closing type.
Known gotchas API access requires a Stavvy-provisioned account; there's no public self-signup API key. Sandbox and production use different hosts (api.sandbox.stavvy.com vs. api.stavvy.com) — mixing them up risks touching real closings with test data. Anything created via the API is also visible/editable from the regular Stavvy User/Admin UI, so keep both channels in sync operationally.
