Steps

1. Confirm current ownership/branding: ITEL Laboratories was acquired by Nearmap (announced May 20, 2025); the matching service is now marketed as 'itel Analysis' / itelinc.com material matching under the Nearmap umbrella, while the historic 'ITEL report' terminology is still widely used in the insurance/roofing industry
2. Submit a material match request either through the itel NOW mobile app or by mailing a physical shingle/material sample, along with the property address and claim reference
3. Provide the manufacturer, product line, and any visible markings from the existing roof material to speed matching against itel's industry material database
4. Receive the match report, which states whether an exact or close match currently exists in the market, or whether the product is discontinued with no direct match
5. If a match is found only in discontinued stock, note that itel's discontinued-materials program can reserve located stock for a limited window (historically 30 days) once matched
6. Attach the itel report to the insurance claim file as third-party documentation supporting a full-slope or full-roof replacement when no matching product exists
