Steps
Confirm the account is on the Premium API tier if you need to write job/estimate updates - Basic tier is read-only
Authenticate requests with the x-api-key header issued from Settings > Integrations > SmartMoving API
Use the Customers and Jobs endpoint categories to read job details, estimates, and linked customer records
On Premium, push job status or estimate field updates back into SmartMoving from your external system
Track consumption on the API Usage page since each request (read or write) counts against the monthly call quota
Known gotchas
Basic tier's 20,000 calls/month is a hard cutoff with no overage - a reporting job that polls jobs/estimates too frequently can exhaust the quota well before month-end
Only Premium grants create/update/delete access to job and estimate data - Basic tier can extract data for dashboards but cannot push changes back
SmartMoving does not build or support custom integrations - implementation, including error handling and retry logic, is entirely the integrator's responsibility
