Steps
Create a free trial account on the ATTOM Developer Platform to obtain an API key.
Review the /avmreport and /attomavm endpoint references to determine which returns the report format your review workflow needs.
Call the chosen AVM endpoint with the subject property's address or ATTOM ID.
Read the confidence score and value range fields alongside the estimated value.
Cross-reference the returned valuation model output against the subject appraisal's own comps as part of desk review.
Known gotchas
/attomavm and /avmreport are separate endpoints with different response shapes for what sounds like the same "AVM" concept; picking the wrong one means missing expected fields.
Standard AVM coverage is limited to single-family, condo, and 1-4 unit multifamily properties; it won't return values for property types outside that scope.
