Confirm the retrofit kit itself is listed to UL 879A (Standard for LED Sign and Sign Retrofit Kits) rather than assuming any LED component is acceptable for field installation into an existing listed sign
Identify what illumination technology is being replaced (neon, fluorescent, HID) since UL 879A's compatibility and installation requirements differ by the original technology being retrofitted
