Steps
Confirm the design includes required components: pretreatment/septic or ATU effluent, a pump/dosing tank with flow equalization, an emitter-protecting filtration system, and a control panel for automation
Select drip tubing that is manufacturer-certified for wastewater dispersal use with self-cleaning emitters suited to the effluent quality
Install tubing only in dry soil conditions, commonly using a vibratory plow for in-ground installation, maintaining the minimum required cover depth over the tubing
Set up the filtration stage (disk, screen, or sand filter as specified) ahead of the drip zones to prevent emitter clogging
Build in a routine flushing procedure at the design stage (pump/pipe sizing, valve layout) so the system can be flushed as part of ongoing maintenance
Pressure- or vacuum-test dosing tanks for watertightness after installation per the state design/installation guidance
