Documented steps

  1. Create or confirm an EU Login account, then open the EUDR platform and authenticate through EU Login.
  2. On first access, select your role: Operator (importer, exporter, domestic producer, trader or authorised representative) or Authority.
  3. Search for your company by country and name. If found, select it and request authorisation; the request is auto-approved if you are the first user for that company, otherwise it waits for an existing administrator.
  4. If the company is not found, create a new operator, complete all mandatory fields, set the chapter or activity to EUDR and the activity type to EUDR Operator, submit the authorisation request, then log out and back in to refresh access rights.
  5. Register separately in PRODUCTION and ACCEPTANCE. Registering in one environment does not grant access to the other, and ACCEPTANCE submissions have no legal value.
  6. Start a new due diligence statement and enter product details: HS code, description, quantity, and countries of production.
  7. Add geolocation per plot by drawing on the map, entering coordinates, or bulk-uploading a validated GeoJSON file.
  8. Complete the risk assessment and risk mitigation sections, then submit in PRODUCTION for the statement to be legally binding.
  9. Monitor the statement on the dashboard; the reference number and verification number are issued once its status reaches Available, not at the moment of submission.
  10. Record the reference number and pass it to your direct downstream buyer or trader so they can cite it instead of filing their own statement.
