Steps Send a GET request to https://callook.info/CALLSIGN/json (or https://callook.info/CALLSIGN?format=json) with the target callsign in the path. No API key or authentication is required; requests can be made directly over HTTPS. Parse the JSON response for the status, type, current callsign/operator class, name, address, and location (latitude/longitude/gridsquare) fields. Check the status field (e.g. VALID, EXPIRED, CANCELLED) before trusting other license details in the response. For browser JSONP use, add a callback parameter restricted to alphanumeric characters, underscores, periods, and spaces. Known gotchas Only covers US (FCC-licensed) callsigns; non-US calls will return a not-found style response. Callook mirrors FCC ULS data on its own refresh cycle, so very recent FCC license actions may briefly lag behind the live ULS database.
