Steps

  1. In the Things Stack console, go to Gateways and click Register gateway.
  2. Enter the Gateway EUI if the hardware has one; gateways without an EUI can continue registration without one.
  3. Fill in the required Frequency Plan for your region and a Gateway ID (auto-suggested fields can usually be left as-is).
  4. Complete any hardware-specific onboarding steps if your gateway model has a dedicated onboarding guide (e.g. The Things Indoor Gateway).
  5. Configure the gateway's backhaul (e.g. Semtech UDP packet forwarder or Basic Station) to point at the Things Stack's gateway server address, and confirm it shows connected in the console.
