Override the default NGINX configuration for apps in CapRover

Steps
For a single app, go to Apps → App Edit in the dashboard and edit its Application Specific Config File (/etc/nginx/conf.d/captain.conf) directly
For a global default applied to all newly created apps (v1.11+), download the server-block-conf.ejs template from the caprover/caprover GitHub repo
Save your modified copy as /captain/data/server-block-conf-override.ejs on the host (assuming the default -v /captain:/captain mount)
Restart CapRover so the override is picked up: docker service update --force captain-captain
Verify the compiled result at /captain/generated/nginx/... inside the caprover/caprover container without editing those generated files directly
Known gotchas
Files under /captain/generated/nginx are regenerated by Captain on every change — manual edits there are silently overwritten
The global server-block-conf-override.ejs only affects apps created after the override takes effect, not existing apps' already-generated configs
Per-app config changes apply to every domain/server-block pointing at that app, not just one specific hostname
