Steps
Submit a Data Access Request Form through the ACCSP Data Warehouse portal (safis.accsp.org) describing the intended use and data elements needed.
Once approved, log in to the ACCSP Data Warehouse web application to build ad hoc landings/dealer queries by state, gear, species, and time period.
For programmatic integration, consult the SAFIS Unified API Reference document, which defines JSON request/response formats for querying the SAFIS backend.
Use the API's defined endpoints/parameters (per the reference document) to pull dealer report or landings data instead of manual web queries, subject to your approved access level.
Respect ACCSP's proprietary-data controls: aggregate or restricted-access data may require additional confidentiality agreements beyond basic Data Warehouse access.
Known gotchas
Much of the underlying dealer/landings data is confidential/proprietary under state law; the standard Data Access Request only grants what your justification supports, and some data remains restricted regardless.
Publicly posted SAFIS Unified API reference documents are versioned and dated (e.g., 6.9, 7.0); confirm you're referencing the current production version with ACCSP staff since public copies may lag the live system.
