Authenticate to the Thanx API using the credentials provided after partner onboarding.
Identify the target guest using the identifier type supported by your integration context (email, phone, or loyalty ID) via the guest look-up endpoint.
Select the offer to issue from the catalog of offers configured in your Thanx Merchant account.
Call the offer issuance endpoint with the guest identifier and offer ID; Thanx records the reward on the guest's account and may trigger a notification.
Optionally verify the offer was successfully issued by retrieving the guest's current offer balance or listening for the confirmation event.
Known gotchas
Thanx's Partner Offer Management API was opened to third-party partners in early 2026; earlier integrations were handled through native Thanx tooling only — verify your integration pathway with Thanx before building a custom offer issuance flow.
Offers in Thanx are merchant-scoped; an offer issued for one restaurant brand cannot be redeemed at a different brand even if both use Thanx — ensure the correct merchant context is set in every API call.
Thanx does not expose a self-serve sandbox for the Partner Offer Management API; all testing is coordinated with the Thanx partnerships team.
