Steps
In CCC ONE Estimating's Import/Export settings, add an EMS export path pointing to the shop management system's watched folder.
Configure a matching EMS import path so CCC ONE can read incoming EMS assignment or estimate files dropped by that system.
Run a manual 'Create EMS Extract' to generate the EMS-formatted estimate/workfile-copy export, then confirm the receiving system picks it up.
Verify the trading partner's system reads the same generation of the 1994 CIECA EMS field layout CCC ONE produces.
Reconcile any rejected or malformed EMS records before re-running the export/import cycle.
Known gotchas
EMS is a legacy file-drop standard exchanged over shared folder paths, not a REST API with auth tokens.
CCC is migrating Estimate, Final Bill, and Part Price Change transactions to a CIECA BMS-equivalent format on its separate Secure Share network — that is a different integration (network/API-based) from local EMS path configuration.
EMS implementations vary by estimating vendor (CCC ONE vs Mitchell vs others); confirm both sides use compatible field layouts before going live.
