Steps
Confirm the account is on a plan that includes webhooks (Growth or Pro) — lower tiers cannot configure them
In Kajabi's webhook settings, enable outbound webhooks for events such as Purchase Created, Purchase Succeed (first payment on a subscription or payment plan offer), and Cart Purchase
Point each webhook at your endpoint URL to receive a JSON payload when a customer completes a one-time offer or the first payment of a subscription
Separately, Kajabi supports inbound Activation/Deactivation webhooks per Offer, callable with name, email, and external_user_id to grant or revoke access from an external system
For broader read/write access beyond purchase events, evaluate Kajabi's Public API (OAuth 2.0 client_credentials, Bearer tokens against https://api.kajabi.com/v1), bundled with the Pro Plan (announced Sept 2025) or available as a paid add-on, and requiring an Owner/Subowner-created API key
Known gotchas
Outbound webhooks only cover purchase/payment events — no native cancellation webhook was found documented
Webhook availability is plan-gated (Growth/Pro) — verify the account's plan before building on this
The Public API launched with the Pro Plan in Sept 2025 as a paid feature; some older help-center article slugs still contain '-closed-beta', but the current getting-started pages describe general availability — confirm you're reading the live (non-beta) article before assuming beta limits still apply
