Confirm the applicable manufactured-SVRS product standard: ASME A112.19.17 (originally issued 2010, currently reaffirmed as A112.19.17-2010 (R2023)).
If the pool instead has dual separated main drains, a truly unblockable drain, or no submerged suction outlets at all, SVRS is generally not required under VGB's federal floor — confirm the actual drain configuration before assuming SVRS is mandatory.

Known gotchas
