  1. Set up an AIS receiving station and start contributing at least one raw NMEA AIS feed to AISHub
  2. Meet AISHub's contributor bar (coverage of roughly 10+ vessels averaged over 7 days, ~90% uptime averaged over 7 days) before applying for API access
  3. Email AISHub to request an API username/key once your station qualifies
  4. Call the webservice endpoint (data.aishub.net/ws.php) with your credentials, requesting XML, JSON, or CSV output
  5. Poll no more than once per minute
