Steps
Add the podcast namespace declaration (xmlns:podcast="https://podcastindex.org/namespace/1.0") to the RSS root element if not already present.
Insert a podcast:value element under channel (or under an item to override at the episode level) with the type and method attributes set, e.g. type=lightning method=keysend.
Add one or more nested podcast:valueRecipient elements specifying each payee's address, type, and split share.
Set the optional suggested attribute on podcast:value to hint a per-time-unit payment amount to supporting apps.
Validate the feed with a podcast namespace validator to confirm the tag structure and recipient splits are well-formed before publishing.
Known gotchas
podcast:valueRecipient split values under one podcast:value tag are interpreted as relative proportions, not absolute payment amounts.
Only podcast apps that explicitly support Podcasting 2.0 value tags surface a payment option; unsupported apps silently ignore the tag.
An item-level podcast:value tag overrides the channel-level tag for that episode rather than merging with it.
