Steps
Start at LG's official 'LG Authorized Service Center' page to review the program overview and eligibility expectations
Prepare business documentation: active business license, liability insurance, and any state appliance-repair registration required in your jurisdiction
Submit the authorized-servicer application/contractor registration and await LG's review and territory assignment
Complete required LG training (product/service training modules, which may be online via LG's learning system plus instructor-led sessions for certain categories)
Once approved, maintain status by renewing training annually and complying with LG's service and customer-support standards
Known gotchas
LG runs separate authorization tracks for different product families (home appliances vs. residential/commercial HVAC 'Pro Dealer' program) — don't assume one application covers both
Annual retraining/recertification is typically required to keep authorized status current; lapses can result in loss of authorization
Being LG-authorized for repair does not automatically make a business an LG parts dealer or installer — check whether separate agreements are needed for those activities
