Steps

  1. Confirm your eMaint account is on an Enterprise-level subscription (required for RESTful API access)
  2. Obtain OAuth2 credentials and request a Bearer token (JWT) from your tenant
  3. Call the eMaint X4 API v2 base at api.x4.emaint.com to retrieve work order and asset records
  4. Use the returned JWT in the Authorization header for subsequent calls until it expires
  5. Refresh tokens before expiry to avoid interrupted sync jobs
