Documented steps Run podman attach <container> (by name or ID) to attach to a running container and view or control its output. Detach while leaving the container running with the default key sequence ctrl-p then ctrl-q. Change the detach key with --detach-keys, e.g. podman attach --detach-keys ctrl-x <container>. View output without attaching STDIN: podman attach --no-stdin <container>. Attach to the most recently created container with podman attach --latest. Known gotchas --latest not available on the remote client (macOS/Windows except WSL2) and may attach to another user's container on the host. --sig-proxy proxies signals to the container process (default true); SIGCHLD, SIGURG, SIGSTOP, and SIGKILL are never proxied. To run a one-off command instead of attaching, use podman exec; --detach-keys can also be set in containers.conf.
