Steps

Apply for a free API key at skiddle.com/api/join.php (the API is beta and non-commercial-use-only without written approval from Skiddle).
Call GET https://www.skiddle.com/api/v1/events/search/?api_key=<key> with latitude, longitude, and radius together to enable geo search.
Filter with eventcode (e.g. LIVE, CLUB, FEST, COMEDY) and minDate/maxDate (format YYYY-MM-DD).
Add description=1 to include artist/genre info, and order=distance or order=trending to control result ordering.
Page results with limit (max 100, default 20) and offset.

Known gotchas

Skiddle explicitly rate-limits/blocks excessive requests and states limits 'are continually changed' — contact them directly for expected high-volume use rather than assuming a fixed quota.
The public Skiddle/web-api GitHub repo (source of the wiki docs) is archived/read-only — verify current behavior against live responses rather than treating the wiki as authoritative.
