  2. Run `npm pack --pack-destination ./dist` to write the <name>-<version>.tgz into ./dist instead of the current directory.
  3. Verify the tarball appears in the specified destination directory.
  4. Combine with a version or package-spec argument to pack a specific release: `npm pack mypkg@1.2.0 --pack-destination ./dist`.
