Steps
Review network coverage and the FAQ at https://incors.in.gov/faq.aspx and https://incors.in.gov/rtk.aspx — InCORS comprises roughly 45 INDOT stations plus ~15 shared stations from neighboring Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky networks.
Complete and sign the RTK User Agreement and Data Disclaimer, then return it to INDOT's Land & Aerial Survey Office (120 South Shortridge Road, Indianapolis) by mail, fax, or email.
Wait for INDOT to issue the NTRIP caster IP address, port, username, and password by email — there is no self-service instant signup.
Configure the rover's NTRIP client for Network RTK using the supported RTCM (MAX/i-MAX/MSM4) or CMR/CMR+ correction formats.
Confirm there is no cost for use, per INDOT policy, before budgeting for a commercial VRS alternative.
Known gotchas
Despite being state-run, InCORS access is NOT anonymous/open like RTK2go — it requires a signed paper/PDF agreement and manual credential issuance, so budget lead time before a time-sensitive survey.
Some of InCORS's usable stations are physically in Michigan, Ohio, or Kentucky through interstate data-sharing agreements — coverage near state borders may rely on a neighboring state's station uptime, not just Indiana's own network.
