Steps
Obtain API credentials from LibGuides Admin > API and request an OAuth2 access token
Send GET https://lgapi-us.libapps.com/1.2/guides with a subject_id or search_terms parameter and the site_id
Include the bearer token in the Authorization header
Parse the returned JSON array of guide objects (title, url, owner, subjects)
Known gotchas
The API host differs by the Springshare data center hosting the account (e.g., lgapi-us.libapps.com), so the correct base URL must be confirmed per account rather than assumed
v1.1 guide endpoints are deprecated in favor of v1.2; sample code written against v1.1 paths will not work against current accounts
