4. Inspect physical/mechanical items commonly cited: drain covers meeting current anti-entrapment standards, secured pool gates/barriers, working pool light/GFCI protection, and clear main drain visibility
5. Confirm required certified-operator coverage (e.g., a CPO or equivalent credential holder on record) and that certification is current and documented on site
6. Do a walkthrough for general sanitation/housekeeping items (deck cleanliness, chemical storage area, restroom/shower condition) since these are typically scored alongside water-safety items
