Steps
Visit the Schedule tab and click Edit Schedules, then New Schedule and choose a weekly or monthly recurrence
Name the schedule (e.g., 'Night Shift End-of-Shift Audit'), select the Inspection Form to use, and select the Locations (sub-areas inherit automatically if they share the assigned form)
Optionally assign the scheduled inspection to a specific person or group — this designates responsibility without restricting other users from completing it
Set the Starts At date and configure Period/Day of Week fields to control exactly when the recurring audit becomes due
Save and allow the scheduler a moment to plan upcoming inspections; for night-shift operations, use end-of-shift inspection forms so supervisors can flag safety issues before handoff to the next shift
Known gotchas
Recurring schedules are only for due dates that don't change — if your night-shift rotation changes frequently, OrangeQC recommends one-time inspections instead
Scheduled inspections are only visible up to the end of the upcoming month; inspections further out are calculated the following month, which can make long-range planning look incomplete
Sub-areas only inherit a parent location's scheduled inspection if they already have that same inspection form assigned — otherwise they're silently skipped
