Steps
Review the MyGeotab SDK introduction and Data Feed API guide for supported feed types (LogRecords, StatusData, FaultData).
Authenticate to obtain a MyGeotab session using a database, username, and password via the API.
Call GetFeed for the LogRecord (GPS/speed) or StatusData feed types relevant to route or bin-servicing verification.
Use the provided .NET, Java, or JavaScript sample data-feed service applications as a starting point for continuous polling.
Known gotchas
The Geotab API is language-agnostic HTTPS/JSON, but production-grade continuous feeds are best built on the provided sample data-feed service rather than naive polling.
Custom (non-Geotab-GO) telematics devices must be provisioned by Geotab support with a unique device-type prefix before their data appears in feeds.
