Steps Create a polygon via POST /agro/1.0/polygons with a GeoJSON Polygon geometry (1-3000 ha, no self-intersections) and your appid API key. Capture the returned polygon id and use it in all subsequent calls. Search for available satellite imagery/vegetation data for that polygon and date range as step one of the two-step Satellite Imagery API. Retrieve the NDVI (or EVI/EVI2/NRI/DSWI/NDWI/true-false color) image tiles or metadata/statistics for a selected acquisition. Pass the duplicated=true flag if you intentionally need to create a polygon that duplicates an existing one.
Known gotchas Polygon area is capped between 1 and 3000 hectares, and the geometry cannot self-intersect or the API returns a 422 error. On the free plan, newly created polygons outside pre-covered map areas may take a few days before satellite data becomes available.
