Documented steps

Run mc admin bucket quota ALIAS/BUCKET --hard 10GiB to set a hard quota that disallows writes once the bucket reaches that size.
Omit the --hard flag to display the current quota for the bucket.
Remove an existing quota with mc admin bucket quota ALIAS/BUCKET --clear.

Known gotchas

A hard quota blocks further writes once reached, which can cause surprising application failures if the size bound is set too low.
Requires admin privileges on the target alias.
Use unambiguous units (KiB/GiB vs KB/GB) so the intended size is not off by a factor of 1024.
