Steps

  1. Stage source files in a GCS input bucket and create/confirm write access to a separate output bucket
  2. Grant the Cloud Translation API's service agent the necessary Storage IAM roles on both buckets
  3. Call projects.locations.batchTranslateText (plain text/HTML/etc.) or batchTranslateDocument (DOCX/PDF/PPTX) with source/target language lists, input/output GCS URIs, and optional glossaries
  4. Poll the returned long-running operation name until done, then read translated output files and any error/glossary-application reports from the output bucket
  5. Re-run only failed files by pointing a new batch job at a narrower input prefix rather than reprocessing the entire batch
