Steps
Authenticate to the Stora Public API.
List available timeline sources (global and operator-specific) with list-all-sources, and timeline templates with list-all-templates.
Create a new timeline event from an external system with create-an-event, tagging it with the correct source so it displays clearly.
Update or delete an event with update-an-event / delete-an-event if the external record it mirrors changes.
Use show-a-source to resolve a source's display metadata before creating events under it.
Known gotchas
Deleting a timeline event is described as permanent — don't rely on it as a soft-hide mechanism.
Sources can be global (built into Stora) or operator-specific; creating events under an unregistered source ID is likely to fail rather than silently fall back.
This is for activity/audit-trail entries only — creating a timeline event doesn't itself trigger other side effects like billing or access changes.
