Steps

  1. Authenticate with OAuth 1.0a two-legged credentials for the school-level API context
  2. Call the grading-period endpoint to create a new grading period with title and date range, or list existing ones
  3. Use the title or startswith filter parameters to locate a specific grading period
  4. When deleting a period, first reassign or delete all course sections associated with it
  5. Pass a comma-delimited list of grading period ids (or the reserved 'final'/'other' tokens) to the grades endpoint to scope results
