Known gotchas
KYA attestations are tied to a specific agent instance and principal pair; if the same principal deploys multiple agents, each agent requires its own KYA attestation — do not reuse a single attestation across multiple agent deployments
Persona's continuous monitoring operates on a delay; a newly sanctioned principal may continue to have a valid KYA attestation for a short window before the monitoring alert fires — for highest-risk payment use cases, implement real-time sanctions screening at transaction time in addition to relying on Persona's monitoring
KYA is a voluntary framework in 2026; not all payment processors will accept or require it — confirm with your acquiring bank and payment providers which KYA attestation formats they recognize before building the attestation into your transaction flow
