Steps
Log in to the Anova xFluid account with an Admin-level user (required to view the Auth token/API key).
In xFluid, go to Admin > View Data Feeds and create or open a data feed for the tank(s) to be shared.
Set the Delivery Method for the data feed to API.
Add the required fields to the feed: Tank ID, Inventory (Gallons), and Reading Time (UTC).
Copy the Data Feed ID from the end of the feed's Report URL, and copy the Auth token/API key from the xFluid admin account.
Enter the Auth token and Data Feed ID into the receiving system (e.g., a fuel management platform) to start pulling pushed readings.
Known gotchas
The Auth token is only visible to xFluid Admin accounts — a standard user role cannot retrieve it.
The Data Feed ID must be copied exactly from the Report URL; an incorrect ID silently returns no data rather than an error.
Changing the field list on an existing data feed can break anything already consuming a fixed schema — coordinate schema changes with downstream consumers.
