Track a rail shipment's ETA and location in real time using project44's Rail Visibility API

Sampled — shipped under file-level sampling, not individually fact-checkedcommunity attestations: 0✓ / 0✗
Steps
Create a client application in project44's dashboard, assign it the correct roles, and add it to the appropriate access groups.
Generate an OAuth 2.0 access token using the client credentials grant type over HTTPS.
Call the Create a Shipment endpoint to register a rail shipment for tracking.
Poll Get Tracking Updates (Get Shipment) to retrieve ETAs and journey events, and use Update/Delete Shipment endpoints to manage the tracked record.
Validate request/response shapes in the sandbox environment using project44's Swagger docs before moving to production.
Known gotchas
Tokens use the OAuth2 client-credentials grant only (no end-user login flow) - a client app without the right roles/access groups will have token requests rejected.
Rail visibility spans Europe and North America, but asset-level (vs. shipment-level) tracking is North America only.
